Details:  Police departments are adopting Cameras on Police Officers in hopes of improving civilian-- police communications. In a massive area experiment (2,224 police officers of the Metropolitan Police Department in Washington, DC), we randomly assigned police officers to obtain video cameras or otherwise. We tracked succeeding cops behavior for a minimum of 7 mo utilizing administrative data.
